Regarding recent action of government for increasing purchasing rate of wind farm electricity, TavanBad Development & Construction of wind power plants Co. intends to establish wind farm in windy and potential zones of Iran with the investment of private sector..
In this connection, Saba Niroo Co. as the first and the only wind turbine manufacturer in Iran has executed technical and economical feasibility studies for wind farm establishment.
Following technical studies of 12 potential sites and grading from viewpoint of wind data, aero logy, topography, land ownership, water, gas & oil transportation lines,… 3 sites were selected and feasibility studies was completed for the 3 sites with the total capacity of 300MW (100MW per each site).
Considering IRR rate and cost of wind farm establishment as the most important economy factor, the best site was selected.
The required investment will be financed through private sector resource. The project of 100MW wind farm installation will be started at the end of 2009
